The MWHBA serves Adams, Juneau, Marquette, Green Lake, Columbia and Sauk Counties in central Wisconsin.

Government Representation

It is the goal of MWHBA to be the local recognized voice for the building industry.  The association involves itself in changes on the local level and reviews proposed changes to local ordinances and codes affecting the building industry.  MWHBA members are active in local, state and national politics, endorsing candidates that support the industry and homeowners..

As a member of MWHBA, you are also a member of the Wisconsin Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.  Both of these associations work hard for the building industry with state and federal elected representatives and regulators, to benefit affordable housing.

Communications and Public Relations

MWHBA provides all members with informational updates through the monthly newsletter.  This newsletter also provides you with the opportunity to advertise your businesses in over 100 newsletters mailed each month.

The newest area of exposure for members is this Website.  Sponsorship opportunities will soon be made available to members. Watch for upcoming information.

Education

Through the monthly newsletter, MWHBA strives to keep you informed and up to date regarding industry information and standards.  Speakers are frequently brought into the general Membership meetings to both inform and entertain our members.

As a member of WBA and NAHB, various educational opportunities are available to you on a state and national level, as well as continuing education courses, and spokesperson and leadership training for members in key positions. Please look in LINKS for educational opportunities for the upcoming Builder Education continuing education needed for 12 hour credit.

Committee Involvement

MWHBA offers you the opportunity to participate in a number of committees which are of interest to all members.  Active committees include Education, Governmental Affairs, Ambassador Club, Public Relations, Membership, Home Show, Scholarships, annual party and the annual golf outing.  Participation on committees helps set the direction and obtain the goals for the association.

Industry Networking

MWHBA provides the opportunity for important networking with other industry professionals.  These informal business contacts at General Membership Meetings are crucial for staying informed and up-to-date.  In addition, the Annual Golf Outing in June, and the annual party in January provide members with the chance to network in entertaining and informal settings.

Community Services

The Mid-Wisconsin Home Builders Association awards one $500 scholarship each spring to a local area graduating high school senior who is pursuing a career in a building-related field.  Watch for future development of community projects, new events or news.
